BAND BIOGRAPHY

Council Ring is psychedelic rock from Charlotte, NC. The band has spent the last five years playing bars, clubs, and festivals across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and looking to go beyond, while steadily building a dedicated fanbase. They have played with Brass Against, Spafford, Dizgo, Yam Yam, Tand, The Wright Ave, Mono Means One, played two years of The Mantras’ annual music festival Mantrabash in 2024 and 2025, and opened for Hoobastank at the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival in 2022. Their latest EP Ripple Effect is out on all streaming platforms while they write new material.

For the quintet, hard rock is the common denominator and original songwriting is the focus. High energy originals that come from a Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix sonic space create a unique fusion of rock with psychedelic and alternative flavors. Ethereal vocals over tight, dynamic pockets: the sound is bold, with hard hitting grooves and dynamic performances. Covers for the band include timeless classic and modern rock songs and can perform a Pink Floyd Tribute set as well. The band can supply lights and sound with operators if needed. Council Ring is bringing their version of rock and roll to bars and clubs across the Southeast region. The songwriting is original rock music using blues, folk, and soul to tell the story - for Council Ring, the journey is the destination.

Comatose recorded live at Smokey Joe’s in Charlotte, NC on October 26th, 2024 & the latest release, Ripple Effect recorded with Joe May at Alta Mira Studios in Charlotte, NC and released in September of 2025.
