Where psychedelic soundscapes meet raw rock energy.
Council Ring is a Charlotte-based psychedelic rock band known for fusing kaleidoscopic soundscapes with gritty rock roots. Their music blends soaring melodies, jam-driven improvisation, and raw instrumental firepower, creating live shows that feel more like full-body experiences than concerts. With their latest EP Ripple Effect—recorded at Alta Mira Studios and mastered at Studio B Mastering—the band showcases a sound that is equal parts hypnotic, powerful, and deeply emotive.
Members include Ty Mattox (Guitar), Chris Jan (Vocals/Guitar), Quint Gallaher (Drums), Tomi Gulden (Keys), and Isti Némethy (Bass).
Council Ring has quickly earned a reputation for performances that are as unpredictable as they are unforgettable. After a packed release show at The Rabbit Hole in Charlotte, the band is set to take their new material to Mantrabash 2025, where their boundary-pushing jams and heartfelt songwriting are primed to win over an even wider audience.
